About Our Prices:
Our packages start at $250 and go as high as $550. A bit higher than you would pay for your cousin Bob to bring his big boom box and complete Elvis collection, and a bit less than the cost of hiring one of the big DJ services.
On occasion I am asked to explain the reasons behind our pricing. The easy side of the answer is of course that we aren’t your cousin Bob. We use professional sound and lighting equipment, and while we have plenty of Elvis selections, we also have thousands of other songs, from the Big Band era to Hip-Hop.
The other side of the equation is a bit more complicated but not really that hard to understand. When you ask most DJ services about price the standard line is “It’s the most important day of your life, why would you be concerned about price?” You are then supposed to assume that a large price tag guarantees a great DJ. But is that really the case?
While the big DJ services may charge you from $700 to $1500, the actual DJ often receives less than 30% of that fee. The majority of the cost goes to cover expensive advertising campaigns, sales commissions, office expenses, and profit to the owner. Last but not least, there are the telephone solicitors who always seem to call during dinner! (right after you enter your name in a drawing at a bridal show) A large price tag does not guarantee a well paid DJ!
We are a boutique operation providing very personal service to a limited clientele. Our staff consists of two DJs, and that is how we intend to keep it. We advertise exclusively on the internet, which reaches the most customers and produces the highest return on our advertising dollar. Allowing for insurance and paperwork, as well as constant updates to our equipment and play-list, our overhead still comes to an average of $50 per dance, with the remainder going directly to the DJs. As a result, though you pay considerably less, our DJs are among the best paid in town!
Of course you get what you pay for as the saying goes, so with us you won’t get any telephone solicitors interrupting your dinner. I’m sorry, I know you love them, but we just don’t have any.

About Our Services:
Wedding Dances-
This is your day, and the dance shouldn’t be an exception to that rule! At Neon Express, we will work closely with you to plan an evening that you and your guests will enjoy! We provide you with a dance planning form and walk through it with you, listening to your ideas, and adding suggestions of our own. Our play-lists include a wide variety of musical styles, so that all of your guests will find something they like. If you don’t see a song you really want to hear, just let us know in advance, and we’ll have it by show time! We are always happy to take requests from guests, or play CD’s they bring in. We can also include special dance events and award prizes. Anyone can play CD’s. We are here to MC an evening that is about you and make it an event to remember!
School Dances-
We work with local schools & PTAs to host dances & fundraising events. We offer special rates for these and other non-profit events, and provide a play-list appropriate for the age group attending the dance.
Karaoke-
We can host a full karaoke show, or mix karaoke into a standard DJ dance. We have the finest karaoke equipment available, with wireless microphones, on-screen lyrics, and a digital key changer that allows us to match the music to your vocal range without changing the speed or tempo. Game Shows-
Want a party and not just a dance? Add games like "Bridal-party Battle", and “Music Trivia”. Our electronic gaming system allows contestants to “buzz in” when they know the answer just like the TV game shows. We also have a professional Bingo system available for any event. Prizes such as CDs, gift certificates and video games are awarded!

About Our Equipment:
Professional sound requires the highest quality equipment. It should not only sound good, but look good set up. Our sound systems feature speakers by JBL and Electro-Voice, CD players by Numark and Stanton, Power amps by QSC and Peavey, and mixers by VocoPro.
Our extensive lighting system features products by American DJ, Chauvet, and Gemini. Included is the Avenger II, Starball II, Mini-Starball, Mini-Sphere, Laser-4800, Cosmos, LQ80, and Vertigo, as well as multiple Par38 and Par56 spotlights. Individual light shows range from six lights on the mini-system to 25 lights on the super-system. Our lighting control panels are equipped with wireless transmitters so that no one is tripping over cords running from the DJ table to the light trees!
Additional features of our larger stage shows include a high output MBT FM-9000 fog machine and bubble machine. We provide professional table covers and Velcro wire ties to keep the DJ area looking professional and neat. We are always looking for ways to enhance our show, and new features are constantly being added.

About your DJ:
A lot of big DJ services like to tell you about the years they have been in business. That is good information, but it is more important to know how much experience your DJ has. Large DJ services employ an army of DJs. While some of them may have excellent experience, others may have little or none.
At Neon Express, we maintain a staff of just 2 DJs; my associate Marc, and myself. Marc has been with us a little over 2 years now, and our feedback on him has been 100% positive. I’ve had the pleasure of spending 30 years in the entertainment industry, as a singer, bass guitarist, soundman, MC, keynote speaker, and DJ. I also have a BA in Accounting and Business Management, which helps me keep the business tight!
